Bare Bones Photography specialises in "informal portraiture", i.e. unforgettable portraits done in an informal manner.
Rather than you coming in to a studio where you feel stiff and out of place, the sitting is done in an environment where
you feel comfortable. This means that we can shoot in your home or a favourite place, such as a park, beach or bush
walk, or perhaps doing a favourite activity, such as curled up in a chair reading or playing a musical intrument. Props
that show your individuality are highly recommended.

A consultation is held before the day of shooting where the photographer and you can discuss what style you are looking for
and the places where the shoot is to be held. Things to bear in mind are availability of locations, distance to travel
and what happens if the weather is unfavourable on the day.

This style of portraiture suits children particularly well, but is also works well with teenagers, couples and families,
in short, everyone. This can also work well with portraits traditionally done in a more formal style, such as a first school
formal dress or engagement photos.

Finished photos can be presented in colour, or black and white, or a mixture of both. Please browse through the photos below
